The latest Notting Hill hotspot by the team behind Dorian restaurant, Eel Sushi specialises in traditional, made-to-order sushi rather than omakase.
Eel Sushi Bar in Notting Hill is a compact, 12 seater restaurant centred around a wraparound counter enclosing an open kitchen. The interior by Kelly Hoppen studio is a choice of pale Swiss pine cladding that softens the space, giving it a clean and natural aesthetic while directing attention to the chefs at work.

Daylight floods through the large shopfront window, and at night it is bathed in the red glow of the neon sign. A minimalist scheme, with confidence in its positioning. The result is a restaurant where both environment and food communicate a clear identity: serious about craft, but casual and welcoming in tone.
The brand identity follows suit, bold and playful with a touch of London brutalism. There are nods to Japan at the core, but not wedded to tradition.
Lorded as the best nigiri in London, with some of the finest fresh seafood from Notting Hill Fish Shop, coupled with 'the best wine list of any sushi bar in the world'.
